The treatment work of electrostatic powder coating for metal workpieces is crucial. Before treatment, the oil and rust (oxide scale) on the metal surface are completely removed, and a phosphating film with good adhesion to the coating is generated. The specific method is:
1. It is coated with a layer of anti rust oil, but the surface of the workpiece must be cleaned before painting. If it is not cleaned before painting, it is like building a high-rise building on a beach, and the consequences can be imagined. Not only does it seriously affect the adhesion of electrostatic plastic powder, but the amount of adsorbed plastic powder on the surface also decreases, resulting in poor surface leveling. Therefore, pre-treatment work should be done well.
If there are pits on the surface of the workpiece, in addition to applying anti rust oil, conductive putty should also be applied and naturally dried or medium temperature dried, and then sandpaper should be used to polish the surface to a flat state.
